Is my baby safe right now?

Is the carrier snug? Baby shouldn't slump, sag, or have excess fabric around their face. Check the fabric supports from knee to knee.

Can you see baby's face by looking down without moving them? Their face should always be visible to you.

Is baby's head close enough that you can kiss their forehead without bending down?

A finger-width of space under baby's chin. Chin should NOT rest on chest — that restricts their airway.

Is baby's back supported in a natural curved position? They shouldn't be folded forward or slumped.
